Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators
The Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators is the only organization established and authorized expressly to set and maintain professional and ethical standards for the practice of the Orton-Gillingham Approach and to certify teachers and to accredit instructional programs that meet these standards.
International Dyslexia Association (IDA)
The purpose of IDA is to pursue and provide the most comprehensive range of information and services that address the full scope of dyslexia and related difficulties in learning to read and write. IDA is the oldest learning disabilities organization in the nation. It was founded in 1949 in memory of Dr. Samuel T. Orton.
Massachusetts Branch – International Dyslexia Association
The Massachusetts Branch of the International Dyslexia Association (MABIDA) is a non-profit, scientific and educational organization dedicated to the study and treatment of dyslexia. This Branch was formed to increase public awareness of dyslexia inMassachusetts. The branch hosts conferences and workshops as well as events for adult dyslexics and parents of dyslexic students.

LINCS is a national dissemination and professional development system, providing information on literacy research, practice, and resources. (Formerly the National Institute for Literacy)
What Works Clearinghouse
As an initiative of the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences (IES), the What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) was created in 2002 to be a central and trusted source of scientific evidence for what works in education. WWC’s goal is to provide educators with the information they need to make evidence-based decisions.
