The Professional Training Institute (PTI) seeks to improve teaching effectiveness by providing unique training opportunities for education professionals.  We offer research-based programs designed to help teachers and specialists meet the needs of students who require systematic and multisensory learning approaches.

Our presenters represent over 50 years of combined experience in working with teachers and special education students in public schools.  Our presenters are adjunct faculty members of Fitchburg State University.

Our teacher training programs usually take place at our Needham center or in the Danvers/Andover area.  Special arrangements also can be made for on-site in-service workshops in school districts.

The Professional Training Institute is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) for all teacher training courses.  PTI also is accredited by the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators for Orton-Gillingham teacher training at the Subscriber and Associate levels.  Massachusetts PDPs and graduate credits are available.
